فَلَمَّا رَآهُ رُؤَسَاءُ الْكَهَنَةِ وَالْخُدَّامُ صَرَخُوا: «أصْلِبْهُ! اصْلِبْهُ!» فَحِينَئِذٍ أَسْلَمَهُ إِلَيْهِمْ لِيُصْلَبَ) يو19: 16)
"My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? Why are You so far from helping Me, And from the words of my groaning? O My God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not hear; and in the night season, and am not silent"

أقْتَسَمُوا ثِيَابِي بَيْنَهُمْ وَعَلَى لِبَاسِي أَلْقَوْا قُرْعَةً
But I am a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised by the people. All those who see Me ridicule Me; They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, 'He trusted in the Lord, let Him rescue Him; Let Him deliver Him, since He delights in Him!'

َلَمَّا أَخَذَ يَسُوعُ الْخَلَّ قَالَ: «قَدْ أُكْمِلَ». وَنَكَّسَ رَأْسَهُ وَأَسْلَم الروح (يو19: 30)
I am poured out like water, and all My bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It has melted within Me. My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue clings to My jaws; You have brought Me to the dust of death.

وَإِذَا حِجَابُ الْهَيْكَلِ قَدِ انْشَقَّ إِلَى اثْنَيْنِ مِنْ فَوْقُ إِلَى أَسْفَلُ. وَالأَرْضُ تَزَلْزَلَتْ وَالصُّخُورُ تَشَقَّقَت
The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me. They pierced My hands and My feet; I can count all My bones. They look and stare at Me.
They divide My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots. But You, O Lord, do not be far from Me; O My Strength, hasten to help Me!

أَحْفَظُهُمْ فِي اسْمِكَ. الَّذِينَ أَعْطَيْتَنِي ...قَدِّسْهُمْ فِي حَقِّكَ. كلاَمُكَ هُوَ حَقٌّ
Thou who, at the ninth hour didst taste death in the flesh for the sake of us sinners, mortify our carnal senses, O Christ our God, and deliver us.

وَلأَجْلِهِمْ أُقَدِّسُ أَنَا ذَاتِي لِيَكُونُوا هُمْ أَيْضاً مُقَدَّسِينَ فِي الْحَق
Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. All Your garments are scented with myrrh and aloes and cassia. Alleluia.

فَخَرَجَ يَسُوعُ خَارِجاً وَهُوَ حَامِلٌ إِكْلِيلَ الشَّوْكِ وَثَوْبَ الأُرْجُوانِ.
This is He who presented himself on the cross; an acceptable sacrifice for the salvation of our race. His good Father inhaled His sweet aroma in the evening on Golgotha. O’ King of peace: bestow thy peace upon us: make firm thy peace upon us: and forgive us our sins.

وَكَانَتْ هُنَاكَ نِسَاءٌ كَثِيرَاتٌ يَنْظُرْنَ مِنْ بَعِيدٍ وَهُنَّ كُنَّ قَدْ تَبِعْنَ يَسُوعَ مِنَ الْجَلِيلِ يَخْدِمْنَهُ
Truly You are blessed with Your good Father and the Holy Spirit; for You were crucified for us and saved us. We worship Thee O Christ our God with thy good Father and the Holy Spirit for thou hast crucified and saved us.

أَمَّا الرَّبُّ فَسُرَّ بِأَنْ يَسْحَقَهُ بِالْحُزْنِ إِنْ جَعَلَ نَفْسَهُ ذَبِيحَةَ إِثْمٍ يَرَى نَسْلاً تَطُولُ أَيَّامُه.
Holy Mighty, who by weakness showed forth what is greater than power, Holy Immortal, who was crucified for our sake, and endured death in His flesh, the Eternal and Immortal. Holy Trinity, have mercy on us.
